The Tom Fun Orchestra have returned from their trip to the UK and Ireland. We here at Company House Records are really excited about the success of the tour and the welcoming the band received. Another tour is in the works for fall 2008, so if you folks across the water didn't get enough Tom Fun this time, be patient, they hope to be heading back your way soon!

After a successful 2008 winter, Company House Records is glad to announce that spring is here, and with it comes shows! Each band is looking forward to hitting the road this summer and it all starts with shows around Atlantic Canada. Check the events section to your right for dates in your town.

The Tom Fun Orchestra lands in Ireland at the end of April for two weeks of shows including a headlining spot at the Kilkenny Rhythm & Roots Festival and three dates opening for UK buzz band Frightened Rabbit in Scotland.  So, if you’re in and around Ireland and Scotland between April 29 and May 11, be sure to come check out the band and say hello! Details for each show are listed to the right in our upcoming events schedule.

Canadian Music Week 2008 was a great success. Company House artists Carmen Townsend, Slowcoaster and The Tom Fun Orchestra had great showcases and lots of fun. The Company House staff were also on hand attending conferences and learning lots. Thank you to the wonderful people of Toronto for coming out and supporting the shows!

Congratulations to The Tom Fun Orchestra for reaching #10 on the CBC Radio 3 Top 30 chart! Everyone here at Company House Records including the Tom Fun crew are so thankful for all the support and love for the new album.

The Tom Fun Orchestra's brand new merchandise store has been launched! Kill the 8 in Toronto have helped to make this site look spectacular. Make sure you visit the store and check out all the new stock including a digital download of You Will Land with a Thud.

Company House President Darren Gallop is on the road this week. Currently in Chicago, IL, Darren is representing Company House Records and its artists at the Atlantic Canada Youth Business Mission. Darren, along with 8 other young Atlantic Canadian business leaders will be showcased at the trade mission. Meetings with record labels, festival organizers and booking agents in Chicago and the surrounding area will help to create important and strategic ties for Company House and their touring initiatives.

The Tom Fun Orchestra featuring Carmen Townsend are set to be featured on the 2008 East Coast Music Awards special on March 2nd, 2008. The special dubbed  Barenaked East Coast Music! is hosted by Steven Paige of the Barenaked Ladies and will air for one hour nationally on CBC.  The hour will include clips of a myriad of performances from the ECMA weekend in Fredericton, NB including Tom Fun’s performance of Watchmaker. We’re so proud to announce that Company Houses’ beloved pals The Tom Fun Orchestra have risen to #16 on the CBC Radio 3 Top 30 chart. Their debut album You Will Land with a Thud, has been steadily climbing the chart for the past few weeks.  Be sure to venture out and pick up the new album in stores across Canada, and visit their website, new myspace page and New Music Canada page to send them love!

The Company House Records team, along with Slowcoaster, Carmen Townsend and The Tom Fun Orchestra are getting ready to pack their bags and head to Toronto for 2008’s Canadian Music Week.
